“Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren.” ~ Deut. 4:9
Every generation leaves behind its own legacy. It might be because of certain individuals or groups of people or the generation as a whole. We are all remembered for something, be it good or bad. But no matter what legacies the past holds, none of them should ever be forgotten. They are lessons, warnings, and inspirations we should always hold dear. It has been said, “If we forget what we did, we won’t know who we are.”
So, join us this year, as we remember some of the impactful legacies that have been left for us to pass on to our children and their children’s children. As we explore both the good – and the bad -- we hope to challenge each of you to consider the questions: “What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?” “How do you want your generation to be remembered?” “Will it be the kind of legacy you can be proud of?” More important, "Will it be one that God will be pleased with?”
